Iced-tea is simply THE best on a hot summer day – or at least it’s up there with the best at the top of the charts.
The beauty of it is that you can mix and match flavour combinations to suit your mood (and what’s in your kitchen). The picture above is the zesty orange flavour combination listed in the recipe below.

Preparation Steps
- Boil 1 litre of water.
- Pop the tea bags in the freshly boiled water, along with the sweetener and mix well, until the sweetener is fully dissolved. Add the spice add-ons.
- Leave to infuse for 10-15 minutes.
- Remove the tea bags, and add the fruity add-ons and leave to infuse for one hour on the kitchen counter.
- Pop into the freezer for at least 30 minutes or in the fridge for at least 45 minutes
- 5 minutes before serving, fish out the add-ons and set aside. Pop the ice-tea with the ice cubes in a blender and blend well, until the ice has turned to a slushy consistency.
- Place the add-ons at the bottom of each glass at serving time, and cover with equal quantities of the ‘slushied’ ice-tea.
- Serve perfectly chilled!
